The April 30 30 30 Contest

The April 30 30 30 Contest has come to a close. Come check out the final count of all the participants.

The Deal
The goal of this contest was simple: be one of the first 30 Check a Biz members to submit at least 30 business reviews between April 1, 2007 and April 30, 2007 (30 days) and you'd receive $30. Yep, that simple.

The member who submitted the most reviews during this promotion period receives an additional $75 for submitting the most reviews (30 review minimum).

The Results
Over 50 members submitted ratings for the contest. Over the course of April (30 days) these participating memebers added a total of 791 reviews.� That is a remarkable number! For perspective, the 791 reviews added in April account for about 19% of the total number of reviews in the Check a Biz System. See the complete list of participants below.

The Winners
At the end of 30 days, 15 members won $30 for all the great reviews they added. Congrats everyone!

Peanut33 went crazy and rated a staggering 180 businesses! That obviously makes her the most prolific reviewer for the contest period, and she'll receive an additional $75! �

A little more about the contest
With this contest we hoped to give Check a Biz members that little extra incentive to share their business experiences with other Check a Bizzers in their area.� As always, we monitored and checked to make sure the reviews submitted were authentic, accurate and informative.

I deleted my "myspace" a while ago but i was thinking that maybe recruiting new checkers off there might work... hell thats where I first heard about it.

I highly impressed that at any given time I will put in my reviews and and they will promptly be replaced with others reviews in the "recent review" section... that is awesome! it shows people are on here at all times of the day.

one last thing... helpful advice...
I have a palm phone and I have a word document that I write in naming each store as I go to it... this keeps me from forgetting any stores. others might want to try something like this

@ JIll,

We are going to be rededicating ourselves to our MySpace promotion here pretty soon. We are still getting new members from it so it obviously is a good way to connect to people who are interested in rating and checking businesses.

About all of the reviews coming in, we love it! Each new review is a new tool that other Check a Bizzers can reference making buying decisions, or they can just act as new and interesting content to read and get a laugh out of.

Writing the businesses you use down when you are actually there is a great idea. I added it to the list of hints on how to remember businesses to rate - http://www.checkabiz.com/Support/Tips/.

Do you ever notice yourself thinking of specific Check a Biz questions when you are out at a businesses (like when you are out to eat and it takes 25 minutes for a water refill?). I do!

haha I do... and now I am known for it by my friends... Ill be sitting there and thinking that their star rating is quickly disappearing haha.
Im kind of a nerd like that... but I guess thats what you get from a business major.

MAN! I saw something at a business the other day that I wanted to attach to a place I rated and I was thinking how cool itd be and then just now I read about having us send in pics so that you can attach them to the businesses site.
